Hi there fellow readers, Guiri here. I’m back in Barcelona for the summer and possibly a little long after that. Also, got a new page layout and finally joining the dot com world. Sadly, it came with a price, the new page lost count of all the social media shares of previews posts, but we’ll survive. There are still a few tweaks needed here and there for the page to be completely done, but it’s all coming together and I’m happy about the progress so far.
ABOUT THE VOGUE FESTIVAL
So last weekend I went to London for the Vogue Festival with @aleuriarte. We Assisted talks with Alexa Chung, Olivier Rousteing, Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Louboutin. All very inspiring, but the words of Jean Paul Gualtier hit home for me. In a moment in life where I feel torn between my sweet and safe hometown or a far away city, I felt as if he was speaking directly to me. He encourage young dreamers to live in a place where one can be free, somewhere were one can rebel to tradition, no taboos. To not be afraid of receiving bad criticism by trying to innovate or break into something different or new. His words made me tear on the inside. Saying goodbye is never easy, but it is part of pursuing your dreams. As cheesy as it sounds, and y’all know I don’t like getting cheesy on here, it is true. Finding my place in this big-ass world it’s not going to be easy, but hell I’ll give it a try. At the very end, he was asked by someone on the audience, what was the accomplishment he is the most proud of about his entire career… “I remained myself, I did not become someone else.” Let’s take a moment to let those words sink inside our guts.
Until next post,

The next pictures were taken my Muffadal Abbas a.k.a @bymabbas, just outside of the Festival. He approached me to take some street style pics of my outfit and we did, and they turn out awesome! If you want to see more of his street style work go to www.bymabbas.com
