Hi there fellow readers! Today I want to introduce you to the world of comfy wear. But before, click here and hit the follow button of my Insta account. Done? Ok, Let’s begin.
Priorities change, and with them our fashion choices. Yes, #captianobvious. After my last fashion phase, which was very minimal & sporty, I’ve transitioned into a more… Hmm, I don’t know what to call it, but I’ve moved on from that particular aesthetic. As always in life, you take with you some lessons from your past and I’ve kept a few from my last fashion phase. You guys might be screaming hysterically and with every bit of your existence, -And what would those be? Well let me share my wise-ness with you. Being the big girl that I am, (or man-child, whatever) comfortable clothes have crawled up in my list quite a bit. That means, the dress and jumpsuit department dominates my closet and is usually my first option for everyday life. I’m talking about loose and sometimes stretchy midi-maxi dresses and jumpsuits; which I usually pair up with mid-calf boots or my beloved pair of white Converse. If the thought of looking like you cut a hole on a bed sheet and stuck your head through it kinda scares you… I’ll give you a helpful tip. Wear a belt on your waist, hopefully a leather normal size belt, not those wide ones with bows we used in the early 00’s. Anyway, since your waist is the smallest part of your torso, it balances out the bagginess.
Coming from the prior mentioned comfy slash sporty phase and therefore, wearing sneakers everyday, one simply can’t go back to the uncomfortable and restraining outfits, like skinny jeans with body fit blazers. One simply can’t. At least not on a daily basis. Speaking of uncomfortable and restraining, here’s another thing I’ve buried deep in my fashion graveyard, the bra and it’s evil wires. It’s 2015 for god’s sake! Why are we still doing cups and wires? Not me. Thank god for sports bras and the growing trend of bralets. They fit better, feel better and look better… And if what I just mention is still not sealing the deal for you, let me add this: they’re also practical. Having your regular bra peek-a-boo from your shirt is a serious fashion crime, but with bralets the rules change. They have lace details and straps, therefore looks so very pretty when peeking out your shirt. Let’s not leave aside that they go great with low-cut side or back cleavage garments. So please join me on this, you won’t regret it. I pinky swear!
