Greetings fellow readers! Your fav blogger, Guiri, salutes you! I hate to be a pain in the arss, but before anything, please oh! pretty please, go ahead and follow me on Instagram! @guiriuribe. All done? Super, let’s begin. So, I’ve decided to spice it up a little here, and start to include guests in my blog so y’all don’t get tired of my face. Today, my first guest is someone who made my childhood a living hell, but that I still have the obligation to love. #jk. Readers, I’d like you to meet my sister, Kity. You might ask yourself, ‘Kity? What kind of name is that?’ Well, it’s not. It’s a nickname and since I’m younger, I have no idea how that came to be her nickname. It was already like that when I was born. Anyway, despite being camera shy, she did an awesome job at the shoot. Let’s all give her a big round of applause and yell together #YouGoGirl!
My family is like the Kardashian family, that because of how numerous my family is, not because we have such interesting lives that E! feels the need to document it. I grew up with my dad, an older bother, 2 older sisters and a very fashionable mom, from whom we sisters inherit our fashion sense. Thanks mother. Being the youngest, I was introduced to the world of fashion very early in life. Wether that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Watching my sisters getting ready to go out on the weekends lead me to believe that changing about a million times before going out was how it was done.
FRIDAY NIGHTS AT MY HOUSE
Let me paint a picture for you: Friday night, three sisters, three closets, loud music playing, shirts and skirts flying across the hallway and a hundred chihuahuas barking at their own farts. How come those little beings are so loud? I can’t stand Chihuahuas. Those little devils. Anyway, I drifted a little bit from the story so let’s rewind and focus. Every Friday, while me and my sisters were getting ready to go out, this would happen:
– ‘How do I look? Does this match? Brown shoes or beige shoes? Is the necklace too much? Does this black shirt and these black pants the same shade of black? Should I wear this teeny tiny detail, that nobody is going to even notice, or not? Would people remember that I wore this shirt to the mall like four months ago?’ Those were some of the obnoxious question we’ll ask each other. And finally, two hours later… – ‘Never mind, I’ll wear the first one’.
Yep, we did that. Poor brother of ours, the only boy in a big family of loud and hormonal women. Now that I think about it, we might have had something to do with him growing up to be a little rebel and getting expelled from every school. Wow, I’m so sorry, sure he and Rob Kardashian have much to talk about.
Anyway, back to Friday night. The phone rang, it was time to go, but before we head out, we would go to our mom for a final thumbs up. Meanwhile, there was my dad, looking all serious, trying to keep it together and pretending to watch TV while a tear ran down his cheek. When did his three little princesses grow up? Man, it sure gotta be somewhat rough for a dad to raise three little girls and then watch them hit puberty and talk about boys. So sorry too, dad.
So this was it for todays post!
Hope y’all like my sister and stay tuned for her next appearance,
“Brace yourself, Winter is coming.”
Winter season means BOOTS!
Go for a pair with a 70’s vibe. Suede is a good choice.
